I have many anecdotes and experiences that I would like to share with you today. While participating in this program for example, I followed a seminar which helped me to know that what we say can affect our behavior. I also learned that University application process is long and complicated so we need to begin early and take our time to think very well about in which University we would like to enroll and the field we will choose. Also, we should have serious discussion with our parents about the University of our choice and the necessary documents needed before applying. We should research the suitable and the best university for us as it is a very important step in our future career. I also realized that financial problems are not a constraint to what you want to do because nowadays there are financial supports and scholarships to help us in higher education. So, it is necessary to study and master languages, especially English, because there are many opportunities for those who really want to study. This program also helped me to find my way around and got me into the U.S. college application process. Yale Young African Scholars is among the best program that I have participated in. I had great and unforgettable memory because it’s not every student in Madagascar who has the opportunity to attend this kind of program. I felt so special to be accepted and involved in it. Taking part to such kind of opportunity is a chance!
